Education, Budget Constraints and Student Loans

The targets of this post are parent and kids, to increase their mind and knowledge that they aren’t alone while they haven’t money to enter their formal education. School is only for Clever and Rich Student

My friend said that formal education (school) is only for rich and clever students. His opinion based on the facts that in the past School (formal education) is only for them. Marginal People have no access in it. Season has changed but the philosophy is on. Formal education is expensive because we must pay teacher for their knowledge and sacrifice in getting the knowledge. If someone says Formal education is cheap, he/she has no academic title and he/she is stupid.

A doctor spent thousand Dollars to get his title so he has authority as teachers. As the same logic, we must respect with the doctors for his sacrifice. Education (Formal education) has been becoming human right, indicating that all people have full access to get it. No one can restrict us. We had seen and this phenomenon is always run in the past present and future. Survival needs high education level (quality human resource), in order to we can get better job, better salary and better future. All people, including parents try to schooling their sweaty (their kids) in top school. They don’t care about money; all they think is their kids’ future. They fight force to get money, add works hours or borrow fresh money for their kids.

Either (parents with middle monthly income, and lower) try to change their kids’ future. They need loans while active job can give extra money. Education–Government and PSO

Some friends argued that America is welfare state. As outsider watchers, they got some reasons why the statement is launched. They saw America is the World Police, Leading in Industry, Technology, and Income per capita. But in my opinion; their statement went wrong. Based on my lectures, my own analysis after reading some books and newspaper; America is semi–welfare state, development country especially. My argumentations were American is not in top ten highest income per capita country, high criminal rate, high unemployment. I don’t put education in my argumentation.

In other side, another friend said that education (school) is only for rich and clever students. I agreed with him. Although education (knowledge) is transparent and human right, we must pay high (expensive) to get the knowledge. American Government hasn’t success so far in education for human rights, so based on this; I say American is not a welfare state.

Not in top ten as highest income per capita countries indicates unemployment rate is high. Many poor people are living in America. Too many immigrants make government confused to services their citizens.

Simple logic, high unemployment rate means there are poor people (lower income) or (middle) has no access to full education and knowledge. That’ right!

Parents with lower income per capita level get trouble in schooling their kids. Government has responsibility to solve this problem. Government establish good quality schools, cut education cost, I have told that government more cares with clever student, gives them free access in education. But government can’t cover all students who having financial problems.

I have posted excite article, Sex and Feces. In that opinion, I try to tell that in the past they don’t have any academic title to survive, Food is easy to get, but now you must have an academic title to get proper and fair job. Fair job means you have fair income also.

Parents need their sons to continue their school to get their son dreaming. The constraint is education isn’t cheap. We must pay high because education is born.

Government as PSO (Public Services Obligation) comes to help poor students. Government has been establishing many states Schools, University and more. Government also makes corporation with private foundation example, church foundation, and distribution into them.

Internet Is New and Unreal Land for Investment

I got this idea one hour before, and I think the idea is good. Many people already done with this idea but maybe they don’t know the philosophy. I would like to describe my idea.

Simple paradox we have for all time. Land is running low; demand for land is up while supply is limited. So land becomes scare and expensive in days.

In metropolis cities, land price is very high, not include with many tax so if we buy land in city we have much money. The same case; if we decide to build company (business) in the city; buy or rent the land. Accurate analysis is number one.

Internet is best place who have no land for business.

You only spend your $10 USD for a domain name and $5–10 USD per month. If you have no webmaster knowledge, it doesn’t matter, you can hire webmaster to setup your online company. Internet is really new land for investment. If your real company is located in Texas, and if you decide to open new branch in Alaska, you must buy new land or rent building there in Alaska. Cost is raised, because expensive land pricing. But in internet, there is no branch office unlike in real company.

Internet is abstract land. Internet can move anywhere no limited. Consumers or Client in Alaska is also available while you have online company, and maybe all states if your target consumers is.

Amazon is the best example. Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly where the biggest store was build. Amazon doesn’t have any branch, only one store but consumers are available all over the world. I don’t know if they have a stock room for their products or not.

Special technique when I was writing

Before I tell my special technique in writing, teach by my teacher when I was Senior High School, I would like to make a parable, metaphor about this.

My friend had a unique technique when he ate. He bent down his face, seen his plate with food inside and start to eat without upward his face. He just ate till all food in his plate cleared. That’s all. He told that he must focus and concentrated in everything include eating. If you concentrate, whatever how much your breakfast, lunch and dinner, all food will be cleared up.

The case is happened to us when we learned or read a book. How did we understand faster? The only one is raised; we have concentrated on it and didn’t think about anything except our book we read, don’t you!

My teacher was right. I used the same case to upgrade our writing talent. He had some best tools and I remembered two tools till now because it worked to me;

1. Don’t upward your face. If you start to write, just write anything. Don’t think about others. Let your ideas flows to your pen. Don’t stop writing and don’t upward your face, and don’t look around. If you not focus, your story (writing) and idea will useless and have no correlation to each paragraph.
2. Don’t read your story before you finish your writing. This is working best to me till now. If you make error in grammar, don’t correct it, let it be. You must correct your grammar error in next step, Spelling and Grammar. Don’t read your story till you finish your writing. If you read back while you are writing, you have lost your idea. Idea will flow constantly when you focus. When you read back, your idea will put on hold and make your idea discreet on each paragraph. After you finish your idea transformation, you go to the next step, spelling and grammar. Don’t do spelling and grammar while you are writing. Your ideas will be lost. Trust me!

Indonesian Education

Writing Lesson is Given in Elementary School only

I must tell my opinion and maybe dear readers have the same opinion with me, about education.

When I was sitting in the elementary school, we had writing lesson. I remember my first writing. I wrote about my story, an accident, fallen from three and bla bla bla. Writing lesson is given only when we are kids, sitting in elementary school.

In my Junior and Senior High Scholl, I got nothing. There was no writing lesson. Maybe the teachers thought that we could development our writing latent ourselves and outstandingly.

In my opinion, my cases work well to my friend in other school in Indonesia. The biggest impact is when we attended university where writing opinion and the task from lecture were available everyday. And the impact still flows on where we get older.

I become blogger. Blogger’s products are articles and must unique article, not copy and paste so we must write ourselves. I am blessed because I have good latent in writing. I sharp my own talent with some exercises.

Many Indonesian kids have no diary. Diary is the main tools to increase our writing talent. In other countries (rich countries) kids have their own diaries at most.

As blogger, I have written more than 500 articles (unique content). When I was thinking that bloggers is great job, I sharing my job my core business to others friends. I have to tell them like or dislike because most of them have trouble in financial. When I told them, their first reaction is I haven’t good writing talent. Too sad!

If those people haven’t good talent in writing, it is indicating that our education isn’t good enough, worst and worst.

Work Bank in Quality of Growth was publishes on 2002 told many thing to underdevelopment countries; the rule and role to government for taking some action to intervention market failure. Institutional Economics is just an issue in Indonesia and also in debate forums, till implementation by Otonomi Daerah (decentralization) in 2002. Although Indonesia is late to bring it to the formal regulation, we believe years by years, Institutional Economics is being basic or standard for government. World Bank said that government must involve much to handle market failures, such as Education, Health, Poverty and the most important relate on our topic is Government efficiency.

In my pepper on chapter one describes some relevant theory, its development till now, and how the government supposes to do. Many problems about Inefficiency must be taken by smart regulation, as well as how the government tries to fight the corruption which becomes the main-root of all problems.

And the last topic will show us how the role of the game. Although the pepper didn’t downing to the earth, only issue and theory; many case can be explain by these theory. I would like to raise an example for sharpness our mind. Work Bank in many times always proclaims the issues. As we see, Institutional Economics try to complete the weakness of Neoclassical Thought.

To increase our government performs such fighting force the corruption, market failures in environment issue, health and poverty. Institutional Economics try to make their main tool like repairing relationship between principle–agent problem, transparency and check and balance. In Indonesia we see the principle–agent become main cause of inefficiency; legislative and executive, even the government and businessman and even more government–businessman–citizen.

To reduce these problem, all countries were agree that law became the main regulations suppose to be in the front to open all problems. Therefore, law can’t work if government and the Judicative can support it.

Rich Dad and Poor Dad on Jacky’s Opinion

A few years ago, I read a book with title Rich Dad Poor Dad. The book is the best seller on the bookshop in the world. The book tells me about Robert (the writer) who has two fathers, rich dad and poor dad. Robert’s real father is the poor one and the other one is his friend’s father (rich dad). The book tells me a story about Robert who wants to be rich but Robert didn’t know how. One thing Robert knows; rich means have a lot of money. One day, Robert and his friend start to work (to be rich). They trying to collect toothpaste’s pack it makes from tin. After they collect to much toothpaste’s pack, they molten it and than they put the tin into a mould and result is false money. When Robert’s father saw the result of their work, he’s really shock and he never imagines that his only son can do stupid thing like this.

After that, he just laughing and giving Robert an advice that to be rich you have to work hard. Than he tells Robert to learn from his friend’s father (rich dad). In one moment, Robert asks his poor dad, “dad, why are you poor?” and his father answer the question “ I am poor because of you, son” than the other time Robert asks his rich dad with the same question and his rich dad give him the same answer with his poor dad. In the middle of the learning process, Robert start to understand that to be rich its unnecessary thing to fill our brain with knowledge, but using knowledge as a tools to read business situation.

Faith and It's Freedom in Indonesia

few days ago, the headline's in a local newspaper said a sect had been regret and apologize and turn to their basic before, Islam. I was surprise because a friend of mine is one of them. I remembered when we discussed in our faculty, the main topic was faith and the religion in Indonesia.

my memorized risen again. my uncle was asking me, which one from the human right is the highest and should be the best? as soon as possible, i said, 'Human right for life'. in the school my teacher always say that. but my uncle didn't respond my answer. for few moment, he let me thought. i surrounded sir! he told me, the highest and the first of human right is to freedom in their faith.
i remembered, why England, France, America and many Countries are so liberal and don't intervention their people's faith. Why our country, Indonesia never look forward and learn foreign countries? our people is to conservative in their religion issue. our law just allow and confess six religions, the last one is Confucianism.

Mr President, let us choose our faith alone!!! don't disturb us. we (Indonesia ) will be fall if this issue can't be handling soon. look America. their law is clear. citizen is given freedom to choose anf to create their own faith. this is not absolut freedom. The goverment also make the rules. the point are if the faith (religion/sect) is disturd and harmful, disturb the public, they are characterised as criminal and will be handle by police.

Involve Everyone

Some students fall through the cracks because they never speak in class, are never called on, and don't complete their homework. They feel no ownership nor pride for school. This can be easily corrected by simply involving each and every student in class. It is more fun being involved in class than sitting back like a bump on a log. Call on students that don't have their hands raised. Go around the room and have each person read a paragraph out loud from the study material. If students feel invested in schoolwork, they will be more likely to have fun and succeed.

Involve the Entire Body

No one likes to sit in class listening to a lecture for an hour. It gets boring and monotonous. To incorporate more fun into learning, try to engage the entire body. Have children move around the room. Play active review games. If you must lecture, have your students take a five minute break to stand up and wiggle their arms and legs. Fun doesn't have to be silly all the time. Simply moving around can make an otherwise boring lecture seem uplifting.

Positive Reinforcement

One of the easiest ways to add some fun to your class is to use positive reinforcement. Students not only detest, but also dread classes that make them feel dumb. If your class is made to think they are excelling or performing well, they will be more likely to succeed. You will see smiles on their faces instead of looks of dread. The only way fun can be introduced into the school day is if the children feel comfortable letting loose. Giving positive reinforcement is the way to accomplish that goal.

Working in Groups

Group projects are tons of fun for students. It allows them to talk and discuss their answers with peers. If there is a worksheet assignment, for example, let the students work in groups of 3 or 4. Not only will they enjoy the change of pace, but they will also learn from each other. Group learning kills two birds with one stone.

School Day Variety

No school day is fun if the routine is the same day in and day out. Change the schedule and add variety to your class. Students love to try new things. Have them complete worksheets one day, and the next day have an outdoor study session. Videos also make for wonderful variety. They allow students to take a break from the traditional school day.

There is nothing like a little fun to get a child to learn. Incorporating fun into the school day not only makes you a great teacher, but also encourages knowledge comprehension.

Learning your past-get the best future

Yesterday, my teacher in my university told us a good story. she told us her talent in the past, learned the past, and planned her best future. i think she is the best teacher the our university, gadjah mada. what is beyond her story? this question must be catch as a warning to us. build our future should be design now before its too late. most even all people is affected by their surrounding, their peer group, their parents educations.

i would like to tell my past, my childhood, my surrounding to replace my teacher's story. my story is started that i was grow up in the poor village, poor educations, poor of facilities, all of ours were poor. there were no electric since i was 8 years old. most of our people are corn's farmer and fisher. they were substantial capitalism. it means there is no trading from their outputs. its only from fisher, they can be pre - capitalist because the the ocean more easier then the land. our land is no fertile.

my peer group? there were no class piano, no daily schedules, no informal educations. our habit were, after school, me and my friends having fun in the sea, swimming.
there were no idea, or thinking about our futures.
in this story and my past, i can find what is the good ones to accompany me to future and the bad one to leave it now!

my future? i don't want my children (if all things are possible), my generation, my men in our village like us in the past. that is important. so what you can do to realize? my teacher told that after her married and after be rewarded three child, she decided to enter the university. in her mind, her children must better in the future, such as education, health, education. so if your heart and your plain united, all things are possible, right? she wish her child rich and the dream come true.
