My Opinion on The Business Plan: Not Just a Blueprint

Ten minutes before, I spent my time to read a good article on entrepreneur.about.com; the title is The Business Plan: Not Just a Blueprint; the main content on that article was delivered my lecture in university. The article is so simple and so theorists. Why I said that? The main idea on the article is suitable on medium up to biggest business. We also know that some goals from business plan ( for external and internal ) and for business work ( sound like art of SWAP); Planning, Organization, Coordination, Controlling, and Flash back.

My suggestion is start from a simple question; is business plan relevant or must be used by small business? Most people maybe answering that planning either small and medium up business is important. The specific suggestion is on the title ' Not Just a Blueprint'.

Small business in Development Countries are different with Underdevelopment countries. I write this opinion because I came from the underdevelopment countries. Most lecture in university said as same as the author on this article Shelley Peever, MBA but the implementations on my country is so different from the theory, although small business is guide by professional.
The reality is small business in my country always discreet thinking, planning, and the implementations. and the other reality that they only thinking about how to maximum profit without thinking about how to minimum loss. In this case, when a planning was unimplemented, for the short run they might be loss but in long run, if still loss they didn't decide to get out from the business or rearrange the plan but they always hang on while injecting fresh cash because in their mind, they only think about profit plan..
